BiGG - Buy in Garden Grove 11/25 to 12/16

The biggest shopping day of the year—Black Friday—goes “BiGG” by offering Garden Grove shoppers a chance to win some extra holiday cash.  From Friday, November 25, 2016 through Friday, December 16, the City’s shop local program, Buy in Garden Grove (BiGG), and the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce will reward customers who make at least $50 in Garden Grove purchases, with a chance to win $500.

          For every $50 in total register receipts from local Garden Grove merchants, customers will receive one raffle ticket towards a $500 cash drawing.  If purchases were made at a participating BiGG business, or from a Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce business member, customers will receive one additional raffle ticket. 

Businesses that participate in the BiGG program offer special shopper discounts or incentives.  Participating businesses can be accessed from the City of Garden Grove website at www.ci.garden-grove.ca.us by clicking on the BiGG icon, or through the free Garden Grove mobile app available via Play Store (iPhone/iPad) and Google Play Store (Android). Chamber of Commerce business members are listed on the Chamber website at www.gardengrovechamber.com.

Receipts must be taken to the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce office, at 12866 Main Street, Suite 102, Garden Grove 92840, to receive raffle tickets.  Raffle tickets will not be available at business establishments.  The first 100 customers to turn in their receipts will also receive a free thank-you gift from the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce and the City of Garden Grove.
The deadline to turn in receipts is by 5:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2015.  Participants must be at least 18 years old to win.

From all the entries received, one winner will be chosen and the winning name will be posted on the City of Garden Grove and Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce websites and social media, on Monday, December 21, 2015.  Winner must present winning raffle ticket to the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce within 30 days to claim their prize.

Since 2008, the City’s Buy in Garden Grove program has encouraged customers to support the local business economy as well as receive special discounts for shopping in Garden Grove.   Keeping purchases in Garden Grove keeps tax dollars in the community, which is a crucial resource for providing public safety, roads, parks, and other quality-of-life needs. Over 100 businesses, ranging from auto repair to restaurants, currently participate in the Buy in Garden Grove program, offering special customer incentives.  There is no charge to become a participating Buy in Garden Grove business.
