About Michael Monsoor MA2 (SEAL):
Petty Officer Michael A. Monsoor, United States Navy, distinguished himself through conspicuous gallantry above and beyond the call fo duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom on 29 September 2006. Without hesitation and showing no regard for life, Michael threw himself onto an incoming grenade, smothering it to protect the lives of two fellow SEALs. For this courageous and selfless act he was posthumously awarded the medal of honor.
